I had shoulder surgery today.
I was so scared and anxious. It was a scary experience, but I was so eager to do anything to make the pain go away. I remember going into the surgery room and two seconds later, I woke up in the recovery room with the worst pain I could even imagine. I couldn't stop crying for an hour and a half. They tried to give me everything that they could. Two doses of morphine and one dose of vicodin. The pain was just so unbearable. But I made it. I made it through. I was so happy that unni and jerry were there for me. They were so good to me. And I was just asking for them while I was drugged up and crying...
It was such a scary and painful experience, I want to remember it so I always know. No matter how painful life can be, it can't be as bad as it was today. And that I'm lucky to have unni and jerry in my life.
